The Wakene Beach Estate located on 18 acres of Coastal Dune Forest with its own beach front, only 2km North of Ponta Malongane, 7km from Ponta do Oura and 15km from the Kosi / Farazelle border.
The pristine forest and its natural flora and funa has been preserved for the enjoyment of our guests who are avid nature enthusiast and wish to get away from the more busy / populated villages of Malongane and Ponta do Oura, and enjoy peace and tranquillity.
Wakene Beach Estate is both a residential and tourism Estate that offers houses and beach front sites to investors who would like to own their houses on this beautiful coast.
The tourist accommodation comprises private ablution campsites each with their own kitchenette, 2 Bedroom self catering chalets and safari tented decked camps, either with forest or sea views.
Consideration for this beautiful environment ensured that clearings for guest private units are nestled into the forest environment and close encounters with rare or shy birds, some of which are endemic to this coastal forest are common.
The Estate has a number of mammals including red duiker, suni,  bushbuck and bush pig. There are also tree dwellers like the redtailed squirrels , greater bush baby, samango and vervet monkeys.

Spanning 3 levels, the 1st level offers a covered carpark under the building with a full separate store room. The 2nd level has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms, one of which is en suite. 2 bedrooms with double beds and one bedroom with a double bunk bed. The top level nestled in the dune canopy has a fully equipped kitchen with ice machine, electric and gas stoves, 2 fridges and a chest freezer. In addition, there is a full living area with indoor dinning and lounge with 2 additional single beds. This unit sleeps a maximum of 10 persons.

Off the top floor living area is a wraparound open deck with alfresco dining table and braai area on one side.

This unit is special in that it has a 360° view with its location on the highest dune, there are limited sea views because of the forest canopy but spectacular sunset views over the Coastal Forest.

All linen and bath towels supplied, including cleaning materials and toilet paper. This unit is fully serviced daily by a full-time maid.
 

Rates:

This Tented “Safari Style” camp accommodates a maximum of 12 persons in Luxury Tents. Each tent sleeps 4 persons. Two tents have double beds and 2 single beds and the third has 4 single beds. All linen and bath towels are included in these furnished units with pedestal fans.
The camp is raised on a wooden deck with interconnected walkways. Each Tent has a decked verandah with seating to enjoy the magnificent view over the forest canopy onto the sea.

There is an enclosed kitchen/dining area leading onto an open deck with sliding glass doors, a separate scullery and one and a half bathrooms with an additional open air shower.
The camp has 220Volt electricity, gas and a 12Volt back up lighting.
This fully serviced Luxury Camp with fully time maid and ample facilities offers the ideal break away for group holidays.

This is a beautiful campsite nestled behind the sand dunes, on Wakene Beach Estate, within the coastal forest (no sea view). There are 16 secluded campsites available, each with their own private ablution and kitchenette.

The private sites can accommodate up to 10 guests per campsite. Each camp has a power point, water tap and a braai available. The ablutions are equipped with flushing toilets, hot-water showers and basins. There is also a separate kitchenette with a fridge, a kettle and a two-plate stove. Toilet paper and cleaning materials, including dishwashing liquid are supplied. Included in the tariff is a maid to clean each site daily. 2 parkings per campsite.

This is the ideal base to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the indigenous coastal forest with prolific bird life and natural fauna and flora.

Casa Madeira is a 16-sleeper fully equipped self-catering villa situated in Southern Mozambique. It is located 15km from the Kosi Bay, South African border and 2km north of Ponta Malongane.

It is located on a private stretch of beach within a dune forest on an 18-acre beach estate. The unit is fully equipped with 6 en suite bedrooms comprising 3 rooms with queen size beds and 3 rooms with twin single beds. Four additional pullout beds with mattresses and linen are available. All linen and bath towels are provided, and the unit is serviced daily by a full time maid.

The kitchen facilities include an upright fridge/freezer combo, a separate full fridge, microwave, electric kettle, 5 plate gas hob and electric oven. There is a large chest freezer in the laundry which includes a washing machine, tumble drier and ironing facilities.
In addition to the open plan kitchen/lounge, the unit boasts an 81 square meter deck, with a super large alfresco dining table with benches that offer amazing sea views.

Braai facilities includes a portable stainless-steel charcoal braai which can be used on the open deck and a 3 burner gas patio braai.

By arrangement with the Mozambique authorities Casa Madeira is built within the 100m zone of breakers with 180º views of the ocean. The unit is built on one of only 10 sites within the privately owned Wakene Beach Estate. Access to the estate is restricted by security controlled boom gate.

Casa Madeira is designed to accommodate larger groups or up to 3 families together on a self-catering basis.

Smaller groups and tour operators can be accommodated at Casa Madeira by arrangement, at an individual rate per person.

These fully serviced self-contained units offer an affordable accommodation option. Each Unit in the Dune Forest is 500m from the Estate beach front. They have no sea view, but guests have a peaceful forest setting from which to explore the surrounding Mozambique Attractions.

There is access to the beach from a communal parking area and wooden walkway with stairs.

There are 2, 4 and 8-sleeper chalets with bathrooms. All linen and bath towels are provided, and the unit is serviced daily by a full time cleaner. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, microwave oven, kettle, 2-plate cooker. The kitchen is open-plan to the living area. There is a private braai/Lapa area at each unit

A magnificent Villa of timber construction, located at The Wakene Beach Estate. This unit offers 4 bedrooms all – en suite overlooking 180° Ocean View. There is a fully equipped kitchen with both electric and separate gas ovens,  fridge, chest freezer and Ice machine.

The 81sq meter deck offers alfresco dining for 10 persons with a full size gas braai griller. In addition on the extended deck overlooking the sea is a full size Jacuzzi off the main dining deck.

The unit is fully serviced and all linen and bath towels supplied. Toilet paper and cleaning materials also supplied.  The unit is fully serviced daily by a full time maid.

There is a washing machine in the Scullery for guests to use.

A short walk onto the beach walkway, with an outdoor shower to rinse off at the unit entrance, Make this a very sought after accommodation.
